Job description

Under the direction of the section supervisor/manager, performs a wide variety of manual and automated laboratory procedures utilizing independent judgment and maintaining responsibility for assigned duties. Must be computer literate and have a basic understanding of computer interfaces.

1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows.
2. Ability to communicate and write in English for the documentation and communication of work duties.
3. Clinical internship as part of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program or one year post-degree experience within a CLIA laboratory performing high complexity testing required.
4. Bachelor's degree from a university or college in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Medical Technology (MT), or Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), or a related science with the experience outlined above.
5. Certification eligibility: ASCP or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW) required.
6. MT, CLS, MLS (ASCP), or equivalent (NCA, AMT, HEW) preferred.
