Onsite Role, Local to TN candidates only

FULL TIME DAYSHIFT

Medical Technologist - Psychiatric Tech

Psychiatric Technicians work 13-hour shifts, 3 days a week, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct daily living care for patients, such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and transferring patients using sliding boards, wheelchairs, or other equipment.
• Escorting patients to medical appointments and assisting in patient admission and discharge processes.
• Accurately taking blood pressure and vital signs, recording them in patient charts.
• Escorting patients during emergencies and rescuing injured patients.
• Making rounds according to policy, accounting for each patient with the patient accountability check sheet.
• Providing verbal de-escalation for agitated patients.
• Performing emergency responses such as Heimlich maneuver and CPR.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and required immunizations including flu shot (seasonal) and TB test.
• Repetitive bending, stooping, and walking are required during the shift.
• Ability to work all shifts as assigned.

Additional duties include bathing and dressing patients, serving meals, taking vital signs, repositioning bedridden patients, collecting condition and treatment information, lifting patients into beds or wheelchairs, examining patients for injuries, cleaning patient areas, changing bed sheets, and restocking supplies.

MTMHI Schedule:

1. 3-3 rotation schedule:

• Week 1 - Monday or Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
• Week 2 - Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Note: The workweek starts Sunday through Saturday. We do not offer alternative schedules or 3-on-3-off shifts.
