Job Details

Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, 10pm-8am
Shift: 4 - Mixed Shift, 10 Hours (United States of America)
Hours: 40
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Position Overview

Under supervision, performs laboratory tests and reports data for diagnosis and treatment, across various laboratory disciplines such as Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, or Microbiology. No supervision needed for specimen processing or reporting results.

Responsibilities

1. Perform laboratory tests following established procedures.
2. Cross-train and assist in multiple lab areas as needed.
3. Assess specimen acceptability and maintain sample integrity.
4. Set up and maintain laboratory equipment, perform routine maintenance, and document procedures.
5. Operate lab equipment accurately and recognize critical results, notifying clinical staff accordingly.

Qualifications

For MLT: Associate’s degree and certification (e.g., MLT (ASCP)), or equivalent, with at least 1 year of high complexity testing experience.
For MT: Bachelor’s degree and certification (e.g., MT (ASCP)), or equivalent, with at least 1 year of high complexity testing experience.

Effective teamwork, organization, and attention to detail required. Minimum 1-year clinical lab experience preferred.
