Position Overview

This Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician is a part-time position in the Microbiology Lab department.

Responsibilities

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis. Performs duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Technician: Education: Associate degree acceptable to a certification agency for MLT; Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent.
• Medical Technologist I: Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years clinical experience; Approved Military Training (if applicable).
• Medical Technologist II: Bachelor's degree; Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent.
