Overview:

The Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Technician performs and interprets analyses on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. They provide medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis, performing duties in line with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:
Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Education: Associate degree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
  • Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent
OR
Medical Technologist I
  • Associate degree with MLT ASCP certification & 3 years clinical experience
  • Approved Military Training (if applicable)
OR
Medical Technologist II
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications: MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
