Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree for Medical Technologist II.
• Certification as MLT ASCP or equivalent necessary.
• 3 years of clinical experience required for MLT certification with the associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret patient specimen analyses using complex laboratory techniques.
• Provide medical staff with necessary information for patient diagnosis.

Overview:

The Medical Technologist performs and interprets analysis on patient specimensthrough the use ofcomplex laboratory techniques.The Medical TechnologistProvides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Technician

• Education:Associate'sdegree in a major acceptable to a certification agency for MLT
• Certification/Registration: MLT ASCP or equivalent

OR

Medical Technologist I

• Associate degree with MLT certification& 3 years clinical experience
• Approved Military Training (if applicable)

OR

Medical Technologist II

• Education:Bachelor's degree.
• Certifications:MT or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required
