Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Medical Technologist to support daily laboratory operations and information system workflows. The role emphasizes Meditech proficiency, accurate specimen processing, and timely results under STAT priorities.

The candidate will participate in quality control, instrument evaluations, continuing education, and proficiency testing while maintaining organized workflows and adherence to turn‑around times.

Qualifications

• Experience with daily operation of information systems in the lab.
• Knowledge of Meditech lab system for specimens.
• Proficient in processing, ordering, results, inquiries, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate analytical testing with independent judgment.
• Share and demonstrate technical skills with students and staff.
• Assist in evaluating new instruments and methodologies.
• Participate in proficiency testing and in-services.
• Monitor temperatures of lab refrigerators/freezers/incubators and act on out‑of‑range results.
