Job summary

Aspire Rural Health System in Marlette, MI is hiring a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician. The role is in the Laboratory department, full-time days, with full benefits. The candidate will perform analyses across multiple disciplines and interact with physicians and staff to ensure quality lab results.

Qualified applicants will have an AS, MT/CLS/MLS, ASCP/AMT-HEW registration or eligibility, and prior experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
• Registration with ASCP or AMT-HEW, or eligible for registry.
• Experience in diverse laboratory disciplines.
• Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses in areas such as blood banking, coagulation, microbiology, hematology, urinalysis and serology in line with applicable standards and policies.

Requirements:

• Associate of Applied Science Degree or Bachelor’s degree preferably as MT/CLS/MLS
• Registered with ASCP or AMT-HEW, or registry eligible
• Previous experience in all areas of laboratory
• Ability to positively interact at all levels of the organization and with all physicians proactively

Responsibilities:

• The primary purpose of this position is to perform various laboratory analysis in the area of blood banking, coagulation, microbiology, hematology, urinalysis and serology in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, to assure that a quality laboratory service is being provided at all times.
