Job description

Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Technician (MLS, MT, MLT)

Join to apply for the Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Technician (MLS, MT, MLT) role at MaineHealth.

This position is eligible for a signing bonus! Well-qualified candidates with less than 2 years of experience can receive a $7,500 sign-on bonus, while those with more than 2 years can receive a $15,000 bonus. Bonus amounts are prorated for part-time or per diem roles. Relocation assistance and temporary housing may be available. Note: The bonus is not available to current MaineHealth employees or those who have been separated within the last 6 months.

Role Description: The Medical Laboratory Technician will independently perform and monitor laboratory testing of patient specimens, interpret and report results, and address technical or physiological issues to ensure accuracy and quality. Responsibilities include instrument maintenance and quality control.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician within six months of hire (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
  • Ability to work at various sites as needed.
