Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science; Master’s preferred.
• Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; Epic and 3M experience a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration in healthcare setting.

Role Overview: Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality assurance. Maintains equipment, records, and adheres to established protocols, using independent judgment. May supervise and instruct staff within the laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification and reporting, documenting QA investigations and trends.
• Maintain instrumentation and conduct proficiency and competency testing.
• Analyze, investigate, interpret, and report lab data, recognizing clinical correlations.
• Monitor and document test statuses, communicate effectively with team members, and follow department procedures.
• Contribute to performance improvements, inspection readiness, and testing method development.
• Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
• Participate in meetings, committees, and educational activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science; Master’s preferred.
