Job summary

MountainView Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Lead Medical Technologist to oversee clinical testing across multiple lab areas and ensure strict quality control. You will coordinate training, supervise testing, and uphold regulatory standards in a fast-paced hospital lab environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, state licensure or certification, and substantial experience as a medical technologist with broad laboratory exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology with national certification or equivalent per State Board requirements.
• Current State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist General Supervisor if working alone.
• Five years’ experience as a medical technologist in a large clinical laboratory.
• Generalist experience in all areas of the laboratory preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical testing across multiple lab areas and ensure accuracy.
• Obtain/receive specimens and perform procedures per written protocols.
• Maintain daily quality control and instrument calibration; interpret results for accuracy.
• Coordinate instruction and documentation for new employees and students, and conduct competency testing.
