MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST, LEAD - IP LAB TECH

Job Overview: Manage activities across one or multiple departments, focusing on organizational, technical, and financial performance. Participate in testing procedures for patients of all ages and resolve division-specific issues. Schedule

• Full Time, Day Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)
• Every other weekend Night shift (10:00pm - 6:30am)
• Sign-on Bonus: $20,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent
• Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
• 3-5 years of laboratory experience
• Supervisory experience preferred

• Potential exposure to infectious agents and physical injury

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate laboratory tests to diagnose diseases
• Conduct a range of tests from routine to complex independently
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain quality standards
• Manage equipment budgets and quality assurance reports
• Research and develop new procedures
• Supervise and evaluate laboratory staff
• Perform venipunctures, capillary, and arterial punctures
• Serve as the main educator for students, coordinating curriculum and training sessions
• Order and prepare reagents and supplies; oversee maintenance of equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and testing procedures to ensure accuracy and safety
• Review and sign off on procedures to ensure compliance with standards, including CAP requirements
• Participate in proficiency testing and other quality initiatives
• Perform additional duties as needed
