We are seeking a Medical Technologist Lead for the Blood Bank Laboratory during the evening shift.

Compensation

Pay Range: $29.25 - $47.55/hour. Job Responsibilities
  • Perform, interpret, check accuracy, and report results on routine and complex laboratory procedures involving body tissues, fluids, and other substances, following laboratory manuals.
  • Evaluate new instruments and methods, ensure correct reagent preparation, quality control, troubleshoot issues, and monitor equipment maintenance.
  • May perform apheresis, bone marrow procedures, or coordinate education, computer operations, quality control/assurance duties, and supervise sections as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field and at least one (1) year of related experience. Work experience cannot substitute for education.
  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
  • Depending on the department or patient interaction, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
