Freeman Health System, serving communities in Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, seeks a full-time medical laboratory professional for Springdale/Bentonville. The role oversees the laboratory section, ensures quality, regulatory compliance, and staff development, and coordinates on-site training for students and new hires.
You will plan testing activities, maintain supplies, and supervise staff to deliver accurate results and high-quality patient care across multiple sites.

Schedule Full-time, 40 hours per week - responsible for Point of Care (Springdale and Bentonville)
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory section including testing, quality control, training, maintaining supplies, and relating with Laboratory administration. Ensures that services are of the best quality. Responsible for assuring section meets all regulatory requirements. Performs laboratory testing as needed or required. Updates section's computer data base as needed. Evaluates employees using laboratory and hospital guidelines and policies to perform competency assessment. Encourages professional growth and development of staff. Coordinates on site training of Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician students and new hires.
Associate Degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology; or high school diploma or equivalent AND have successfully completed an official military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) or Bachelor's in medical technology from an accredited institution
Minimal: At least 2 years of clinical laboratory training or experience or both in high complexity testing.
One-year acute care experience. MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW, MLT (ASCP), MLT (AMT), or equivalent certification
