Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and interpret analyses on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. You will provide critical information to aid in patient diagnosis and support Mercy's mission and service standards, working within a collaborative, compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent required; up to 3 years clinical laboratory experience acceptable for MLS/MT certified or eligible new MLS graduate.
• Current certification as MT/MLS or categorical certification (ASCP or equivalent) is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.
• Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
