Job summary

Mercy is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist/MLS to perform and interpret analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. You will provide information to aid in patient diagnosis and work in line with Mercy Service Standards.

Education: Bachelor's degree; Experience: up to 3 years as MLS/MT or eligible; Certification: MT/MLS or ASCP or equivalent. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Up to 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or equivalent or certification eligible new MLS graduate.
• Current certification as MT/MLS or categorical certification, through ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens through the use of complex laboratory techniques.
• Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Works in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards.
