Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Produces accurate results according to age-specific SOPs.
• Matches patient identifiers to specimens with precision.
• Maintains QC/QA processes and documents activities.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments; performs preventive maintenance.
• Participates in CAP surveys and proficiency testing as required.
• Takes charge in supervisor’s absence and ensures staffing sufficiency.
• Adheres to infection control practices and safety policies.

Education

Associate degree in related field

Bachelor's degree preferred

Florida Medical Technologist license

ASCP Certification preferred

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work

Effective communication skills
