Job summary

Kettering Health Network is hiring a Medical Technologist II at the Main Campus in Kettering, OH. This full-time, day shift role performs routine and complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.

You will ensure accuracy through quality control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory standards, with responsibilities to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume clinical lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience in an accredited healthcare setting.
• Certification as Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control and equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and participate in safety, PPE, and inventory practices.
• Work independently and collaboratively within the laboratory team.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The Medical Technologist II performs routine and complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. This role ensures accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field required.

Required Work Experience:

• Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience in an accredited healthcare setting.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:

• Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
