Job summary

Kettering Health Main Campus in Ohio is hiring a Medical Technologist II to perform routine and complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. You will ensure accuracy through quality control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least two years of clinical lab experience, and national certification as Medical Technologist/MLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS by ASCP or AMT.
• Proficiency with laboratory testing procedures and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with LIS/EHR systems and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The Medical Technologist II performs routine and complex laboratory testing to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.
• This role ensures accuracy and reliability of test results through quality control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field required.

Required Work Experience

Minimum of two years of clinical laboratory experience in an accredited healthcare setting.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations

Certification as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT).
