Job summary

Mercy in Joplin, Missouri is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and interpret analyses on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques. You will provide critical information to help physicians diagnose and treat patients, working within Mercy's mission and Service Standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and up to 3 years of clinical lab experience as MLS/MT or eligibility, with current MT/MLS certification or ASCP-equivalent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Up to 3 years of clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or eligibility for certification as MLS/MT.
• Current MT/MLS certification or categorical certification, through ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets analyses on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.
• Provides information to aid in patient diagnosis for medical staff.
• Operates in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
