Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Medical Technologist II to perform complex diagnostic testing in our Laboratory Services department. This on-site role supports patient care and medical decision-making by conducting and validating analyses across chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.

You will maintain instruments, follow CLIA/CAP standards, and collaborate with clinicians, educators, and researchers in MUSC's academic health center, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Certification required or eligible as MT/MLS
• State licensure as required
• BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and verify complex diagnostic tests in chemistry, hematology, and microbiology
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and instrumentation
• Ensure accurate specimen processing, labeling, and data entry in LIS
