Summary

Performs a variety of patient testing and administrative tasks in support of clinical activities in the UNCHCS. Responsibilities include product modification, blood product handling, routine and advanced serological testing, and analysis to aid diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate problems with equipment, test results, specimens, and workflow.
• Participate in team projects and provide training to students, residents, and new employees.
• Perform quality control, equipment maintenance, and routine testing.
• Prepare specimens and reagents, and report results to healthcare providers.
• Review test results for accuracy and timeliness.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science degree; eligible to sit for MT exam within 12 months of hire.
• Must obtain certification within one year of becoming exam eligible.
• No prior experience required.
