DMC University Laboratories is a regional, integrated laboratory system providing services to the eight hospitals of Detroit Medical Center. Established in 1993, it includes Core Laboratories, Specialty Laboratories, rapid response hospital labs, and more, serving Southeast Michigan with a comprehensive test menu of over 1,000 tests, including high-end specialty tests.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs laboratory tests on patient specimens, analyzes results, and maintains records. Prepares solutions, reagents, and media, and operates laboratory equipment. Acts as a resource to other laboratory personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, qualified at the Medical Technologist level by examination or military training, meeting CLIA regulations for High Complexity testing.
• Prefer 6 months to 1 year of medical laboratory technologist experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered or eligible for registration with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS). Non-US trained personnel must complete equivalency evaluation within 30 days of hire. State licensure as required.
