Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Mercy - Rogers location. This PRN role involves accurate lab testing, timely result reporting, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Excellent customer service is required in line with Mercy Signature Service.

Education includes an Associate's degree; multiple certification paths are acceptable. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, 3 years of clinical lab experience, and MT(ASCP) or

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• MLT/MLS certification or equivalent within 6 months of hire, or a Bachelor's degree meeting cert agency requirements, or completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory course.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, precise, and timely laboratory tests and report results.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Provide excellent customer service in Mercy Signature Service interactions.

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist is part of the provider care team who helps with diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions through the use of technical and scientific knowledge. This position is responsible for accurate, precise, and timely performance of laboratory tests. Medical Technologists/Medical Laboratory Scientists evaluate and report test results while assuring compliance and meeting all regulatory requirements consistent with the quality of a World Class Laboratory. The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist will be required to exhibit excellent customer service skills in line with Mercy Signature Service in all internal and external customer interactions. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree.
• Certifications: MLT or MLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire OR Bachelors degree, in a major that meets a certification agency's requirements OR Completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training course

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience.
