Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist for Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc. in Austin, TX. The role involves performing moderate and high complexity testing to support patient care and reporting results.

The position requires a BS MT or related science degree with MT training, ASCP certification, and 1 year of lab experience. You will work in a safety-conscious environment with opportunities to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes and pipettes.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing as part of patient care.
• Analyze, review, and report testing results.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
