Job Summary

The Medical Technologist I performs routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring accurate results, adhering to quality protocols, and supporting patient care. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, instrument maintenance, teaching, and phlebotomy duties.

Essential Functions

• Perform laboratory tests accurately and report results timely.
• Maintain quality control and troubleshoot issues.
• Conduct instrument checks and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure safety regulations compliance.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff.
• Assist with proficiency testing and regulatory compliance.
• Perform phlebotomy and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field or
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience.
