MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN MLT/MLS/MT

The Opportunity:

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Central Maine Medical Center Pathology team!

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, benefit-eligible position.

What you’ll do:

1. Perform routine and complex procedures in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.
2. Obtain and receive specimens, perform clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understand method principles, perform quality control, perform preventative maintenance, and interpret results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
3. Work independently, organize work to meet deadlines, record all data obtained, and maintain job competence.
4. Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory procedures according to established standards and procedures, using proper technique and equipment to ensure safety and accuracy.
5. Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
