Job summary

American Health Associates, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist in Davie, FL to perform routine and specialized laboratory testing across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Microbiology.

The role requires strong technical skills, clear English communication, and the ability to operate automated and manual instrumentation, with preference for Beckman Coulter, Abbott, and Siemens systems. The position emphasizes accuracy, adherence to turnaround times, quality control, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in chemical, physical, or biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• State-issued professional license from the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel required.
• ASCP-BOC, AMT, or AAB national certification preferred.
• Must meet minimum CLIA requirements for High Complexity Testing Personnel.
• Laboratory training or 3-months documented training in each specialty for high complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing as assigned.
• Perform required Quality Control testing.
• Perform Proficiency Testing when assigned.
• Review Patient Reports as testing occurs to perform repeat analysis, if required.
• Monitor supply inventories to ensure workload adequacy.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance as required.
• Review and assist with updating of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report status of testing concerns to Laboratory Management.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and organization.
