Job summary

Penn Highlands DuBois Regional Medical Center, part of Penn Highlands Healthcare, seeks Medical Technologists to perform complex laboratory tests in DuBois, PA. Responsibilities include specimen reception, testing, QC, and procedures for new lab testing, with afternoon and night shifts available.

Qualification requires ASCP/AMT certification and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field preferred.
• Must be trained and registered as a Medical Technologist with ASCP or AMT within one year of hire.
• IChP VisaScreen Certificate may be required for visa holders.

Responsibilities

• Receive patient specimens and perform qualitative & quantitative tests per policy.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment as required by policy.
• Conduct required quality control and calibrations with remedial action when out of limits.
• Establish procedures for new laboratory testing to be introduced.
