Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology with a clinical internship.
• ASCP or NCA certification, or eligible and within one year.
• Strong computer, customer service and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with standard desktop computer systems and email.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates working knowledge of laboratory procedures and processes.
• Reports accurate patient laboratory results with minimum errors.
• Reviews results based on knowledge of age related normals.
• Maintains all safety guidelines in the lab.
• Uses quality control results to determine validity of patient results.
• Trains students and new staff.
• Performs instrument troubleshooting procedures.
• Responds to workload by flexing between laboratory benches.
