Hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Pay: $59.49 per hour

Job Summary:

The Medical Technologist performs qualitative and quantitative analysis on all specimens received in the laboratory for the station assigned. The Technologist will have an understanding of the principles of tests performed and working knowledge of the equipment used in the station which they are assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all specimens are put in appropriate storage
  • Observe all quality control policies and procedures to ensure reliable patient results
  • Recognize critical or life-threatening results,, verify results, and report to the appropriate clinician
  • Document all results in the LIS

Requirements:

  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or valid permit issued by NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory to Technology
  • Bachelor's degree in Lab Science
  • 3-5 years experience as a hematology technologist, recent experience required
