Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a travel assignment in Hyannis, MA. The role involves performing diagnostic analyses on a wide range of specimens under supervision in clinical labs, doctor's offices, reference labs, or biotech settings.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory Science, CAHEA-accredited program, and state licensure/registration if required, plus 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory Science is required.
• CAHEA-accredited program completion is required.
• License/registration may be required by state or client.
• At least 1 year of experience in a facility or related field preferred.
• Current BLS card if required via contract or state requirement.
• Current physical exam and TB test or chest x-ray as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic analytic tests on body fluids and specimens.
• Work in clinical laboratories, doctors' offices, reference labs, and biotech settings.
• Operate under supervision of a designated Manager and comply with regulatory requirements.

The MedicalLaboratory Technologist /Clinical Laboratory Scientist under the supervision ofdesignated Manager, performs diagnostic analytic tests on human body fluidssuch as blood, sputum, stool, cerebrospinal fluid, peritoneal fluid,pericardial fluid, and synovial fluid, as well as other specimens. The Medical Laboratory Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist works within clinical laboratories, doctor'soffices, reference labs, and within the biotechnology industry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory or ClinicalLaboratory Science, or other related field is required




• Successful completion of a Medical Laboratory Technologistor Clinical Laboratory Scientist program that is accredited by the Committee onAllied Health Education (CAHEA) required




• License/registration may be required by state or client




• At least 1 year of experience in a facility or a relatedfield preferred




• Current BLS card if required via contract or staterequirement




• Current physical exam, if required by state regulations orcontract




• Current TB test or chest x-ray




• Successful completion of background screening and onboardingprocess




• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
