Compensation: Pay Range: $26.55 - $43.10 per hour, with an $8,000 new hire sign-on bonus (Full-Time only). To perform, verify accuracy, and report results of routine and complex laboratory procedures on body tissues, fluids, and other substances. Assist supervisors and team leads with evaluating new instruments and methods, reagent preparation, quality control, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. Support apheresis procedures, bone marrow processing, coordinate educational sessions, manage computer operations, and participate in quality control and improvement activities as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field, with completion of a 12-month internship in an NAACLS-approved Medical Technology program, with certification from ASCP or AMT required. Students pursuing a Medical Technology degree must obtain their degree within nine months of hire. Work experience cannot substitute for educational requirements. Certification from ASCP or AMT must be obtained within 15 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required within 30 days, depending on patient care responsibilities.
