Salary Range: $36.35 - $48.29 Hourly

Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated hourly range for this position if hired to work.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Performs all duties related to the preparation and testing of specimens, and documents all information required. Performs Quality Control when appropriate and documents all results. Assists students and other non-certified personnel when in the lab. Participates in evaluating, documenting, and implementing technical assays

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Meets education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CLIA and the New Jersey State Department of health and Senior Services (NJSDHSS) laws
  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field
  • Blood Bank Experience

Preferred:

  • ASCP or NCA certification preferred

Performs and interprets routine and complex assays on blood,

Prepares blood/blood components for transfusion to a patient,

Performs blood types and antibodies identification as well as blood group antigens and compatibility,

Performs all related documentation tasks,

Participates in evaluating, documenting and implementation of technical assays,
