Description:

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Lab Hartford CT

This position involves providing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples.

What you will do:

1. Determine normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
2. Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopic techniques and procedures.
3. Ensure operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories.

Position Hours:

• 40 hours, Night Shift, rotating weekends/holidays, primarily Night Shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Associate's degree in Medical Lab Technology.
• MT-ASCP or MLT-ASCP certification, or eligibility to take the certification exam and achieve certification within the first year.
• New Graduates Welcome.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; we cannot sponsor visas for this position.
