Position Summary

The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing patient analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis, results reporting, instrument maintenance, and technical problem resolution. This role requires a service-oriented individual who is detail-oriented, capable of complex data analysis, exercising sound judgment, and demonstrating critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Receive specimens and establish positive identification of specimens.
  2. Determine the suitability of specimens.
  3. Acquire and prepare reagents as needed.
  4. Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Sciences.
  • Certification or registry eligibility for Medical Technologist, MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), AMT, or AAB.
  • Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification or eligibility if duties include phlebotomy.
  • Experience in Clinical Chemistry or molecular diagnostics, especially for Immunology, is preferred.
