Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Medical Technologist (Flex) to perform diagnostic testing across multiple lab sections. This PRN position supports Transfusion Services, Fast Flow, Microbiology, ART OR Lab, Specialized Testing Laboratories, Referral Testing or the Ambulatory Care Laboratories with 40 scheduled hours per week.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science and ASCP BOC certification (or eligible within the first year).

Qualifications

• Minimum Training and Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related medical or scientific discipline
• Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC). If not certified, registry eligible and successfully obtain certification within the first year of employment.

• Performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.
• Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing.
• Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
