Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Pittsfield, MA, with a night shift (4x10) schedule. The role offers a weekly pay of $2,000 to $2,200 and requires active national certification and Meditech Expanse experience.

Responsibilities include routine and specialized testing, result interpretation, instrument maintenance, QA/QC, and timely reporting. Travel with own vehicle and weekend/holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

Job description

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks + Possible Extension

Schedule: Night's (4x10)

Pay Rate: $2000-$2200/week

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols and quality standards.
• Analyze, interpret, and validate laboratory results to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Follow quality control, quality assurance, and laboratory safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records using the Meditech Expanse system.
• Identify and report abnormal results, testing discrepancies, and instrument issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required by the facility.

Requirements

• Education/Qualification: Must qualify as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT). Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) candidates will not be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of current experience.
• Certification: Active national certification required. ASCP certification preferred; NCCT certification will not be accepted.
• BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or an accepted client-approved provider required.
• EMR/System: Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred.
• Travel Requirements: Candidates must have their own vehicle.
• Radius Restriction: Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
• Availability: Every other weekend and holidays may be required based on facility needs.
