Job description

Role Overview:

This position involves administering nuclear imaging procedures, calculating and preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring safety standards are strictly followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform quality nuclear medicine imaging on diverse patient populations, operate and maintain imaging equipment, and process data for diagnostic purposes.

Carry out hot lab duties, prepare radiopharmaceuticals under physician guidance, and monitor patients throughout procedures.

May be cross-trained in PET/CT scans, requiring a thorough understanding of related processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, certification from NMTCB, and licensure if applicable.

Knowledge of radiation safety, ability to operate imaging equipment, and strong patient communication skills are essential.

Certification in PET is advantageous. BLS certification must be obtained within 60 days.
