Job summary

Favorite Healthcare Staffing Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist to join a Lawrence, KS hospital on a full-time night shift. The role covers chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, blood banking and limited microbiology/molecular testing.

ASCP MT/MLS certification is required, and blood bank experience is preferred. New grads are welcome to apply, with pay based on license and experience and a $5,000 sign-on bonus plus full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical expertise for testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, blood banking and limited microbiology/molecular areas.
• Performs testing and documentation for patient, quality control, proficiency, and quality assurance.
• Acquires and updates knowledge on policies, specimen collection, test procedures, and instrumentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: Laboratory - Hospital

Location: Lawrence, KS

Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift, 10hr or 12hr shift options, block schedule

Pay: Pay based on license and years of experience, plus full benefits package; $5,000 sign-on bonus available!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Demonstrates technical expertise necessary for accurate and reliable performance of testing in all applicable (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, blood banking and limited microbiology/molecular) areas of the laboratory
• Performs patient, quality control, proficiency, quality assurance testing and required documentation processes timely and accurately
• Acquires and updates knowledge pertinent to policies, specimen collection, test procedures, and instrumentation
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• ASCP certification required – Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
• Blood bank experience preferred
