Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our pediatric lab team. You will analyze and report lab values across chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis, and phlebotomy in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.

The role requires a Bachelor of Medical Technology or CLS, at least 1 year in a clinical lab, and an ASCP/CLS certification; licensure in state of practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medical Technology, CLS or Science.
• 1 year Clinical Laboratory experience.
• MLT (ASCP), CLS or Equivalent certification; Med. Tech license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight over technical lab operations.
• Reviews patient results as well as related records such as quality control and instrument correlations.
• Analyzes and reports all lab tests requested on patients.

Job Description

The Medical Technologist analyzes and report lab values as part of the interdisciplinary care of our patients. Diagnostic procedures performed may include chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis and phlebotomy.
