Department Summary
The University of North Texas (UNT) Student Health and Wellness Center is a full-service medical center offering all UNT students general wellness and specialty medical care. We are staffed with licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified lab technologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed nurses, and medical assistants.
Position Overview
Perform moderate complexity levels of testing in the following areas: Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in either chemical, physical, biological, or laboratory science and three years of experience working in a clinical laboratory. Must be familiar with CLIA regulations and qualified as a technical consultant.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the technological advances in laboratory equipment and proficiency in its care and upkeep. Skill in the operation and care of medical/laboratory equipment. Ability to supervise others. Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.
