In alignment with Gift of Life Michigan’s core purpose and core values, the Medical Technologist performs high complexity laboratory functions to obtain data for use in infectious disease and histocompatibility evaluations of potential deceased and living donors for transplantation.
Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology area of study.
Preferred: A minimum of one-year recent relevant clinical laboratory experience; current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent, or Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (ACHI); prior experience in healthcare, transplant center, or organ/tissue procurement organization.
