Avenues Recovery Center in Indianapolis, IN is hiring Day and Night Shift Medical Assistants (QMA) for our Detox and Residential facility. This role supports medical care, nursing duties, and coordination with clinical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred) with Indiana Medical Assistant licensure. Strong communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medical Assistant in Indiana (QMA).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable engagement in treatment.
• Assist with nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting).
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams for coordinated care.
• Manage, order and res-stock medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers post-discharge.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.

Now Hiring QMAs for the Day Shift (6a - 6p) and the Night Shift (6p-6a) for our newest Detox and Residential treatment facility, located in Indianapolis, IN.

What You'll Do
