Job description

How You'll Make an Impact

DispatchHealth is actively hiring Medical Technicians to join our growing clinical team servicing the Tigard, OR area. We are looking for energetic, hard-working individuals with strong organizational and customer service skills to work directly with our Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in our CLIA certified (mobile) laboratory. This individual will be directly involved in daily patient care while gaining valuable experience on an ongoing basis. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided for this exciting opportunity in mobile healthcare.

Job Details:

  • Flexible Shifts: 10-hour shifts (8:00am - 6:00pm or 12:00pm - 10:00pm)
  • Work-Life Balance: You’ll be required to work 3-4 shifts per week, including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds an AEMT, Paramedic, or CCMA certification.
  • BLS & CPR certified.
  • Ready to represent the company with a company vehicle provided for your use.
What You'll Do
  • Work under supervision of licensed NP/PA providers
  • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
  • IV starts and blood draws (as permitted by state law)
  • Splint application
  • Wound care
  • Work directly with point of care laboratory equipment including operation, calibration, and maintenance
  • Perform EKGs
  • Assist NP/PAs in the daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit
  • Documentation
  • Supply and stocking
What You Need
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification
    • Basic Certification with OR
  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in a core science or lab science and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device, are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • BLS, American Heart Association
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
