Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Supervisors, Manager or Director; performs clinical laboratory testing according to established protocols, requiring independent judgment and responsibility. Maintains equipment and records, performs quality assurance, and may supervise and teach within the laboratory. Ensures accuracy in testing and reporting, applies clinical knowledge to analyze lab data, maintains current training and policies, and practices organizational skills for efficiency. Communicates effectively with team members and performs other duties as assigned.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Certifications: Med Tech ASCP Certification or equivalent required upon hire. MLS (MT) certification from an approved agency required within 18 months of hire.
Experience: Less than 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
Skills: Computer/data entry, communication with healthcare team, proficiency in Excel, Word; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
