The Medical / Surgical / Trauma ICU at St. Joseph's is a dynamic environment offering challenging and rewarding careers. We serve the critically ill adult population in units with 32 beds, providing high-acuity care with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1. Nurses are hired specifically for each unit but have cross-training opportunities.

Position Summary

Assess patient and family health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate outcomes. Provide professional nursing care to acutely ill adult patients, supporting individuals across various age groups, including young adults through geriatrics. Demonstrate understanding of developmental needs and align behaviors with the organization's mission and core values. Support hospital-wide performance improvement initiatives.

Dignity Health offers an Education Benefit program for eligible employees after 180 days, providing debt relief and student loan assistance—up to $18,000 over five years for full-time employees.
