Job summary

Trusted is seeking an experienced travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in North Carolina. You will care for surgical patients on a unit handling hip/knee replacements, bariatric, urology, spine, and GYN cases.

Shift is 7:00 AM–7:00 PM with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts/week, and 75% holiday coverage. NC license or compact license is required for submission, plus BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. Epic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold North Carolina license or compact license for submission.
• Willingness to float to additional units/locations as needed.
• Local & travel allowed; local within 35 miles considered local.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to surgical patients (hip/knee, bariatric, urology, spine, GYN surgeries).
• Care for 1 nurse per 6 patients; use Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality of care.

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Part-Time at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Unit Details:Patient population includes total hip and total knee replacement, bariatric surgery, urology surgical patients, spine surgery, and GYN procedures.CNA-to-patient ratio: 1:9.Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors.

Shift & Scheduling:Weekend rotation is every other weekend; the unit currently operates Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday needs.Travelers will work 75% of holidays.No call.

Floating Requirements:Minimal floating is required; the clinician could float to the medical-surgical unit if needed.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
