Job summary

McLeod Health in Little River, SC is seeking a Medical Surgical Technician for PRN shifts. You will assist with patient care, take vital signs, wound care, feeding, hygiene, and document interventions under supervision of a licensed nurse.

On-site role with 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shifts supporting the department. Candidates should have phlebotomy, CNA, or EMT certification or at least 1 year of clinical experience and a High School diploma; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy, CNA or EMT certification or 1 year clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Take vital signs, perform wound care, and document interventions.
• Provide nutritional/hydration support and assist with hygiene and daily care.
• Support department operations and maintain supplies and cleanliness.
• Transport patients and use health and safety equipment as needed.
• Float to other departments as needed and participate in problem solving.
