Job summary

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical‑Surgical unit on a PRN night schedule (12-hour shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care coordination, and timely treatment execution in a supportive, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• 1 year of acute nursing experience required.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story and needs.
• Collaborates with patients and families to develop individualized care plans.
• Acts as patient advocate and coordinates interdisciplinary care.
• Administers medications, IVs, dressings, and emergency care as needed.
• Continuously assesses progress and updates the plan of care with the team.
